Quality engineering lead · Test architecture for distributed systems

now

I lead quality engineering at Trendyol in Amsterdam. I design how large distributed systems get tested, and I coach the engineers who test them. Eight years in, most of my work is deciding what is worth testing and proving it stays true under load, retries and failure.

Developer in Test Tech Lead / Staff Engineer

    Trendyol BV · Amsterdam, Netherlands

    • Designed test architecture across 40+ event-driven microservices, verifying Kafka message ordering, delivery guarantees, idempotency, retries and data consistency.
    • Built an internal quality-analytics platform that the organisation adopted and wrote into its annual objectives.
    • Owned risk-based quality strategy for backend services and distributed integrations across cross-functional teams.
    • Cut release cycle time by 15% and raised deployment frequency by 10% through automated quality gates in CI/CD.
    • Coached developers and QA engineers through pairing, workshops and automation code review.

    Senior Developer in Test

    Trendyol · Amsterdam, Netherlands

    • Owned Java API and service-integration automation with RestAssured, JUnit, TestNG and Cucumber, alongside Playwright for web and end-to-end coverage.
    • Verified transactional data and asynchronous processing across services: eventual consistency, retries, duplicate events and recovery.
    • Checked API contracts, schemas, backward compatibility and database state across connected services.
  3. 2021.06 → 2022.01

    Developer in Test

    Trendyol · Istanbul, Turkey

    • Converted manual mobile regression scenarios into automated suites with Espresso and XCUITest.
    • Ran product design reviews to surface quality risk before development started.

    Senior Test Engineering Analyst

    Accenture · Istanbul, Turkey

    • Led a distributed automation team across Hungary and the Philippines.
    • Built a Protractor and TypeScript framework that automated 70% of manual scenarios and cut regression time by 25%.
    • Removed QA process bottlenecks and raised sprint testing efficiency by 20%.
  5. 2019.04 → 2021.02

    Test Engineering Analyst

    Accenture · Istanbul, Turkey

AI inside quality engineering

I use AI in the daily work of testing: drafting cases from a specification, narrowing a failure to its cause across service boundaries, and reviewing automation code. It removes the typing, not the judgement.

AI to build things quickly

I take an idea to something that runs, with AI tooling. That loop taught me the parts a test engineer rarely touches, and it is why I have opinions about where these tools break.

Testing AI products

This is the part I am still learning, and it is where the other two meet. A system that answers differently every run breaks the assertion I have relied on for eight years. I am working through evaluations, prompt regression, and how you set a quality bar you cannot pin to an equality check.
